On 13 July 2010 the Minister of Defense, Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg, visited the Federal Office of Defense Technology and Procurement (BWB) in Koblenz in the course of his summer tour.

WeiterContract on improved protection of FUCHS armoured vehicle has been signed

On 9th July 2010 the Vice President of BWB, Reinhard Schütte, and the CEOs of Rheinmetall MAN Military Vehicles, Klaus Sander and Peter Georgi, signed the contract on the integration of enhanced protection measures into 65 armoured vehicles Transportpanzer 1 FUCHS A8.

WeiterFirst Airbus A319CJ Ready for Integrated Verification

Under the project ”Modernization of Medium-Range Aircraft of the Special Air Mission Wing of the Federal Ministry of Defense (FMOD)“, the first Airbus A319CJ aircraft was delivered by Lufthansa Technik AG (LHT) to the Federal Office of Defense Technology and Procurement (BWB) on 17 February 2010.

WeiterAirbus A319CJ of Special Air Mission Wing of Federal Ministry of Defense Delivered for Cabin Outfit

Under the project “Modernization of Medium-Range Aircraft of Special Air Mission Wing, Federal Ministry of Defense (FMOD)”, the first Airbus A319CJ type aircraft was delivered by Airbus Deutschland GmbH to the main contractor Lufthansa Technik AG (LHT) in Hamburg-Finkenwerder on 13 May 2009.

WeiterWTD 71 and FWG merged on 1 February 2009

On 1 February 2009 the Bundeswehr Technical Center for Ships and Naval Weapons (WTD 71) and the Bundeswehr Institute for Underwater Sound and Geophysical Research (FWG) were merged as the “new” WTD 71. WTD 71 is now called “Bundeswehr Technical Center for Ships and Naval Weapons, Maritime Technology and Research”.
