Technical Specifications
BWB Technical Specifications (TL) are prepared for procuring defense materiel whose specifications have to be updated frequently.
Technical Specifications, inter alia, comprise technical and/or technical-organizational requirements for:
- the materiel to be supplied with respect to its performance and characteristics, quality assurance, packaging as well as existing usufructuary rights and relations to manufacturers (procurement types),
- and the respective supplies and services. Technical Specifications are prepared by the armaments experts responsible for the respective product. They cooperate with industry if necessary. Preparing these BWB specifications follows the guidelines of civilian standardization (DIN 820 – series) as far as possible.
The BWB list of Technical Specifications comprises information on the current stock of BWB Technical Specifications (TL). Most of the specifications can be accessed, viewed and downloaded free of charge as pdf files via this list. Technical Specifications for weapons and ammunition and some other defense materiel must be obtained from BWB via an e-mail function integrated into the data base. If the result of the examination of the request is positive, the files are sent to the user free of charge.
