Main Decontamination Point "HEP 90"
The "HEP 90" main decontamination point is designed for decontamination tasks in the NBC defense corps and the crisis reaction forces. Its main purpose is to rapidly restore the troops' full operational readiness following a contamination event.
The HEP 90 consists of 4 modules which can be used separately but also in combination. The modules are:
- Decontamination set, clothing
- Decontamination set, personnel
- Decontamination set, major equipment
- Decontamination set, special equipment
Each module is a separate project. The basic requirements for the development of these projects were the following:
- Nuclear, biological and chemical decontamination with environmentally friendly chemicals and decontamination procedures
- Modular design
- High degree of automation
- High degree of mobility: transport by road, rail, ship or air
