By Car

Coming from Cologne/Koblenz / Saarbrücken: exit the A 1 at "Trier/Schweich" and take the A 602 until you reach the junction "TrierVerteilerkreis" (= traffic circle). Enter the traffic circle and exit it to the right into "Herzogenbuscherstraße". Follow the road for about one kilometer, then turn left into "Wasserweg". Follow this road until you reach a railway underpass. Go through and, about one kilometer after the railway underpass, turn left into "Kolonnenweg". Watch out for the signposts which guide you to WTD 41.

If you are approaching Trier on the A 64, leave the A 64 at the "Trier" junction and take the B 51 in the direction of Trier. Having passed the "Kaiser Wilhelm" bridge, turn left into "Zumaienerstraße", heading for the traffic circle. Continue as described above.

If you are approaching Trier via the B 51, coming from Konz or Saarburg, there are two ways of reaching WTD 41.

  • Continue to follow the B 51 / B 49 until you reach the junction "TrierVerteilerkreis" (traffic circle). Having passed the traffic circle, follow the instructions above.
  • Before you reach the "Römerbrücke" bridge, turn right into "Südallee". Enter the subsequent traffic circle and continue straight on into "Olewigerstraße". Continue in the direction of the university ("Universität"). Having passed a right-hand bend, turn right into "Kohlenstraße". Follow the road and watch out for the signposts guiding you to WTD 41. Turn right into "Kolonnenweg" to reach the main guard building of WTD 41.
